COME AND GARDEN AT THE PALACE

To mark His Majesty the King’s coronation, thousands of organisations across the country are getting together to give us all the chance to help out in our own local communities. As part of this fantastic initiative, as a historic royal palace with gardens and an estate which many a monarch has enjoyed, we are inviting you to join us for a taster of volunteering with us.

Wednesday May 10th  9.30 – 12.00 or 13.00 – 15.30

Join the dedicated team of gardeners in the beautiful gardens at Hampton Court Palace for a taster of volunteering in the gardens at Historic Royal Palaces. You will be working in one of the gardens at the Palace weeding, cutting back and tidying up, enjoying the spectacular surroundings of the gardens at Hampton Court Palace.

Or, come and join the fantastic Estates team in the beautiful surroundings of Home Park (via Kingston Gate). You will be repairing fences used to protect mature trees, litter picking and tidying up the private paddock areas of the park, and enjoying the open spaces of Home Park.

For both opportunities, tools and guidance will be provided; please bring gloves if possible and wear sturdy outdoor footwear.

Limited to 10 people per session, on a first come, first served basis. Please email gandevolunteering@hrp.org.uk to apply, or via The Big Help Out website (search Hampton Court under ‘all events’)
