The Friends of Bushy and Home Parks congratulate our patron, garden designer Cleve West, for winning an RHS Gold Medal at the Chelsea Flower Show. Cleve’s design is the Centrepoint Garden and is sponsored by the Centrepoint Giving Back Project. The project aims to help vulnerable young people move on from homelessness. The garden features a fallen tree and the garden of a part-demolished, ruinous house. It depicts nature taking over the site and  is a metaphor for being young and homeless. Cleve has designed Gold Medal winning gardens at six previous Chelsea Flower Shows since 2006. Friends’ members are delighted for Cleve and warmly appreciate his thoughtful and resonant designs.
