PARK VISITS DURING LOCKDOWN

Message from The Royal Parks concerning visits to Bushy Park:
‘Bushy Park is proving to be be very popular and busy during the present lockdown. We’d like to remind everyone to follow government guidelines and stay local. We also ask you to leave your cars at home as car parks quickly fill up and you may not be able to enter the park. If you’re planning a visit, please check the latest information about the park during lockdown on our website before you set off: www.royalparks.org.uk/coronavirus-updates
‘Bushy Park’s landscape includes important acid grassland, which is vital to national wildlife conservation and home to several protected plant, invertebrate and bird species. With the increase in visitors, some of this grassland has come under threat and is in danger of being eroded. Where possible, and not at the expense of social distancing, please stick to the paths and formal garden areas to help us conserve this valuable habitat.’
