NEW YEAR HONOURS LIST

Loyd Grossman, Chair of The Royal Parks, has been awarded a Knighthood in the King’s New Year Honours list for services to heritage. Loyd has been Chair of The Royal Parks since 2016 and oversaw the organisation’s move from government agency to charity in 2017.

The charity cares for London’s eight Royal parks and other open spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Its role is to conserve and enhance these historic and exceptional landscapes whilst welcoming millions of visitors to its free spaces every year.

Commenting on his award, Loyd Grossman said:

‘I am absolutely delighted to receive this award, it is such an honour and a true privilege. I am so proud to have been chair of this fantastic organisation, which has flourished since becoming a charity in 2017. Our 5000 acres of parkland bring such joy to millions of people who visit each year. I am grateful for the commitment and dedication of my fellow trustees and to all the staff, volunteers, partners and supporters who work tirelessly to ensure the parks remain protected for generations to come.’
