Opening of The Historic Brewhouse
Step inside a hidden piece of Bushy Park history as The Brewhouse opens to the public for the first time in 10 years. The Friends of Bushy and Home Parks warmly invite you to discover this atmospheric grade II listed red brick building, built around 1710 by Charles Montague, 1st Earl of Halifax, along with the beautiful and grand Water Gardens.
Guides will be on hand to share key aspects of the site’s history. There will be FREE Tours between 11.00am and 4.00pm, however numbers will be limited and tickets will be allocated on arrival.
An exhibition hosted by the Friends of Bushy and Home Parks brings together a striking collection of 48 photographs showing different aspects of Bushy and Home Parks taken by talented local photographers.
Getting there:
The nearest gate to the Water Gardens and Brewhouse is Hampton Hill Gate on Hampton Hill High Street, near The Star pub, or New Hampton Hill Gate behind Sainsbury supermarket, but the walk is slightly longer. Parking in this area is limited, and we encourage visitors to use other forms of transport.
Alternatively, you can park at Upper Lodge Car Park, which you can access through the main entrance at Teddington Gate. Please note there are four disabled parking bays there. You can walk from this car park, or you can use our buggy service, which will be operating between the car park and the Water Gardens for the weekend, from 10.45 am until 4.00 pm.
