An electric buggy service is being introduced in Bushy Park to assist people who need help with mobility to get from the Diana car park to the Pheasantry, and vice versa.
The Friends of Bushy and Home Parks volunteers will drive the buggy, which can carry up to 4 passengers or a wheelchair and 2 passengers. The service will commence on 1 June. It will initially operate on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11 am and 4 pm, subject to weather permitting and volunteer drivers’ availability. The service is regarded as a trial, to ascertain demand and technical viability, and will run through the summer months.
Give the drivers and passengers a wave if you see them driving by.
